However, residents\u2014particularly Tiv indigenes\u2014have maintained calm, urging authorities to conduct a thorough and impartial investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Family members of the deceased have expressed shock and grief.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking with newsmen, Mathew Aondo, a relative, said, \u201cKpadoo was a mother of three with dreams of building a better life for her children.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHer life was taken over something as trivial as fishing. We are not violent people. All we want is peace\u2014to go to our farms and come back safely.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Community leaders and residents have condemned the attack and urged the state government to address ongoing farmer-herder tensions that have led to repeated violence in the area.<\/p>\n<p>Samuel Ortserga, a youth leader in Imon, expressed concern over the frequency of such attacks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s painful that we keep losing our people. Our wives, brothers, and parents are being killed without provocation. We commend the police for arresting the suspect, but the government must act quickly to stop this violence.\u201d Ortserga stated.<\/p>\n<p>The incident has also drawn responses from Fulani leaders in the area. Saleh Anaruwa, youth leader in Adudu Chiefdom, described the killing as \u201cneedless\u201d and praised the Imon youth for not resorting to retaliation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe mourn with the community and promise to support the investigation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The District Head of Adudu, Alhaji Abdullahi Tanko, also condemned the act and appealed for unity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cViolence helps no one.
