Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Victims of the deadly attack on Otobi-Akpa village in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State have reportedly been denied entry into the Och\u2019Idoma Square in Otukpo.<\/p>\n

The Och\u2019Idoma, His Royal Majesty Elaigwu Odogbo, barred the displaced villagers from taking temporary refuge at the Och\u2019Idoma Square following Tuesday\u2019s brutal invasion by suspected armed herdsmen, which claimed no fewer than 11 lives and left dozens homeless.<\/p>\n

An indigene, Meddy Emmanuel, had evacuated the survivors to Otukpo town for their safety.<\/p>\n

However, upon arrival at the Idoma traditional ground housing the royal palace, they were turned away.<\/p>\n

As of press time, the victims remain stranded around the palace fence, desperately seeking refuge.<\/p>\n
