{"id":161166,"date":"2025-05-02T20:36:29","date_gmt":"2025-05-02T19:36:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/ex-lg-boss-stabbed-to-death-in-bauchi-son-others-linked-to-brutal-attack"},"modified":"2025-05-02T20:36:29","modified_gmt":"2025-05-02T19:36:29","slug":"ex-lg-boss-stabbed-to-death-in-bauchi-son-others-linked-to-brutal-attack","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/all-news\/ex-lg-boss-stabbed-to-death-in-bauchi-son-others-linked-to-brutal-attack","title":{"rendered":"Ex-LG boss stabbed to death in Bauchi, son, others linked to brutal attack"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Tragedy struck in Bauchi on Thursday as a former chairman of Jama\u2019are Local Government Area, Isa Muhammad Wabi, was gruesomely murdered.<\/p>\n<p>The 66-year-old politician was found in a bloody state at his Fadaman Mada residence, behind Government Girls Secondary School, Bauchi, around 4:00 a.m after a distress call from a Good Samaritan jolted police into action.<\/p>\n<p>A crime bulletin issued by the Spokesman of the command, SP Mohammed Wakil on Friday revealed that Isa Wabi was allegedly attacked by his son\u2019s friends \u2014 Ahmad Abdulkadir, aka Abba, and Faruk Malami, aka Ajebo, who allegedly stormed the house around 3:00 a.m. and stabbed him multiple times in the neck.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn the early morning of 2nd May 2025, at about 0403 hours, the police command received a distress call from a Good Samaritan concerning an incident involving an attack by a group of youths at Fadaman Mada, located behind government girls secondary school Bauchi. \u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn response, a dedicated team of officers was dispatched to the scene. They found Mr Isa Muhammad Wabi, a 66-year-old former Chairman of Jama\u2019are LGA, in critical condition due to injuries sustained in the attack.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was promptly evacuated to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital Bauchi for urgent medical attention. \u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPreliminary investigations revealed that the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances of his son, Abdulgafar Isa Mohammed, aged 24.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe investigation suggests that Ahmad Abdulkadir, also known as Abba, and Faruk Malami, referred to as Ajebo, had entered the home around 0300 hours and subsequently conspired to assault Mr. Wabi.
