Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Troops of the 24 Task Force Brigade under Operation Hadin Kai, supported by Hybrid Forces, ambushed fleeing Boko Haram terrorists in Koibe village, Dikwa Local Government Area of Borno State, killing two and recovering their bodies during a follow-up operation.<\/p>\n

Military sources revealed that the ambush, part of the ongoing Operation Desert Sanity IV, was executed in the early hours Friday, based on actionable intelligence.<\/p>\n

At approximately 2:30 a.m., the troops made contact with terrorist elements in Koibe village and engaged them in a fierce firefight.<\/p>\n

The terrorists, unable to withstand the offensive, were forced to retreat in disarray, likely sustaining multiple gunshot wounds as they fled toward the Boboshe axis.<\/p>\n

Following the encounter, the troops launched a follow-up exploitation mission at the contact site.<\/p>\n

During the operation, they discovered two freshly dug graves at Boboshe, which were found to contain the remains of two neutralised insurgents.<\/p>\n

However, while attempting to recover the bodies around 11:00 a.m., the soldiers came under fire from remnants of the terrorist group.<\/p>\n

The troops responded with superior firepower and pursued the fleeing attackers toward the Gargash general area.<\/p>\n
