{"id":162309,"date":"2025-05-13T12:21:29","date_gmt":"2025-05-13T11:21:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/police-arrest-two-men-for-allegedly-defiling-daughters-in-lagos"},"modified":"2025-05-13T13:30:05","modified_gmt":"2025-05-13T12:30:05","slug":"police-arrest-two-men-for-allegedly-defiling-daughters-in-lagos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/policy\/police-arrest-two-men-for-allegedly-defiling-daughters-in-lagos","title":{"rendered":"Police arrest two men for allegedly defiling daughters in Lagos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested two men accused of sexually assaulting their daughters in separate incidents reported in the Surulere and Amukoko areas of the state.<\/p>\n<p>The Command\u2019s Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed this during a press briefing on Monday at the command headquarters in Ikeja.<\/p>\n<p>According to Hundeyin, one of the suspects, a 39-year-old man, was taken into custody for allegedly defiling his two daughters, aged 12 and 14, in the Surulere area.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that the suspect\u2019s wife alerted the police, prompting an immediate investigation and subsequent arrest.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA case of defilement was reported on April 30 in which the complainant reported on behalf of her two daughters against her husband.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe alleged that her husband defiled their two daughters,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He added that a medical report had been obtained from a sexual assault referral centre to support the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Hundeyin further revealed that another suspect, a 48-year-old man, was also arrested for allegedly defiling his 16-year-old daughter in the Amukoko area of Lagos State.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn April 29, at 9.30 p.m., detectives of the command received a report from a complainant who reported that her husband had carnal knowledge of his physically challenged daughter on several occasions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He disclosed that the suspect was caught in the act of sexually assaulting the minor at approximately 8:30 p.m. on the same day.<\/p>\n<p>Following the report, Hundeyin said a team of detectives was dispatched to the scene of the alleged incident, where the suspect was promptly arrested.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the survivor was taken to the General Hospital in Ajeromi for medical examination and treatment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Nigeria<\/span> Follow <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Africa-Press<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria.
