Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has reiterated its commitment to ensuring that corps members make significant contributions to their host communities throughout their service year.<\/p>\n

Director General of NYSC, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, gave the assurance, Tuesday during the closing ceremony of the 2025 Batch \u2018A\u2019 Stream 1 orientation course held in Bauchi.<\/p>\n

He was represented by the NYSC Bauchi State Coordinator,Rifkatu Yakubu.<\/p>\n

The DG commended the corps members for demonstrating patriotism, discipline, loyalty, and maturity during their three-week orientation, noting that such qualities are essential for a successful service year.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy your show of maturity, patriotism, commitment, discipline, and tolerance, I am confident that your time on camp has been worthwhile and that you will positively impact your host communities,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

He urged the corps members to be diligent, loyal, and adaptable as they proceed to the next phase of their service.<\/p>\n

\u201cSettle down quickly at your places of primary assignment, respect the customs and culture of your host communities, obey local rules, and ensure you leave those communities better than you met them through your community development efforts,\u201d he advised.<\/p>\n

A total of 1,600 corps members \u2014 717 males and 883 females \u2014 have been deployed across the state for the one-year national service.<\/p>\n
