Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Nigeria\u2019s Flying Eagles on Sunday defeated hosts Egypt in the third-place clash at the ongoing 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.<\/p>\n

The match was played at the 30 June Air Defence Stadium, Cairo.<\/p>\n

The match ended 4-1 via penalty shoot-out in favour of Nigeria.<\/p>\n

The encounter had ended in a 1-1 draw, thanks to goals from B. O. Amole and O. O. H. Hassan.<\/p>\n

Prior to the encounter, Nigeria were defeated 1-0 against South Africa in the semi-final encounter.<\/p>\n

Egypt, meanwhile, also lost to Morocco by the same scoreline in the other semi-final tie.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, South Africa will face Morocco in the U-20 AFCON final later tonight.<\/p>\n
