Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>A middle-aged man, Sola Ojo, has been arraigned by the Ekiti State Police Command for allegedly damaging economic trees amid an ongoing land dispute.<\/p>\n

Ojo is accused of felling important trees on land currently under litigation in another court case.<\/p>\n

The incident reportedly occurred in April 2025 in Omuo-Ekiti, where Ojo and unidentified accomplices allegedly caused public disorder, risking violence or confusion.<\/p>\n

The police charged Ojo under Section 181(d) of the Ekiti State Criminal Law, 2021, citing his actions as unlawful.<\/p>\n

Represented by Barrister J. O. Olajide, Ojo pleaded for bail, which Chief Magistrate Abayomi Adeosun granted.<\/p>\n

The judge ordered Ojo to pay a bail sum of \u20a650,000 and to provide a surety of equal amount.<\/p>\n

The case has been adjourned to June 17 for hearing.<\/p>\n
