However, he made it clear that the PDP is not under consideration due to what he described as a deep-rooted and irreparable dysfunction within the party.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn all the meetings I\u2019ve attended so far, nobody has ever considered adopting the PDP. We all agree that PDP has an incurable virus. No antibiotics can cure what is ailing the PDP,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>Lawal also disclosed that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is playing an active role in the coalition\u2019s formation, alongside other prominent politicians determined to challenge President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the next election cycle.<\/p>\n<p>His comments further fuel speculation that Atiku may be preparing to exit the PDP, which has been embroiled in internal leadership crises since its loss in the 2023 presidential election.
