Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>In a swift and coordinated response, police operatives in Katsina State have foiled a kidnapping attempt and rescued three abducted individuals in Unguwar Dahiru, located in Funtua Local Government Area.<\/p>\n

According to police sources available to Zagazola Makama, the incident occurred on May 22, 2025, around 11:00 p.m., when armed men suspected to be bandits invaded the community and abducted the victims.<\/p>\n

Acting swiftly, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Makera Division led a rapid deployment of the Area Patrol Command (APC) team to pursue the kidnappers.<\/p>\n

The police team engaged the suspects in a tactical operation, successfully rescuing all three victims.<\/p>\n

However, the victims sustained leg injuries during the confrontation and were immediately taken to the General Hospital Funtua, where they are currently receiving treatment and responding well.<\/p>\n

Security forces have intensified efforts to track down and arrest the fleeing assailants, as part of broader efforts to curb banditry and restore peace in the region.<\/p>\n
