{"id":163980,"date":"2025-05-24T09:18:08","date_gmt":"2025-05-24T08:18:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/man-allegedly-stabs-younger-brother-to-death-over-argument-with-wife-in-delta"},"modified":"2025-05-24T10:23:27","modified_gmt":"2025-05-24T09:23:27","slug":"man-allegedly-stabs-younger-brother-to-death-over-argument-with-wife-in-delta","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/all-news\/man-allegedly-stabs-younger-brother-to-death-over-argument-with-wife-in-delta","title":{"rendered":"Man allegedly stabs younger brother to death over argument with wife in Delta"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Delta State Police Command, led by CP Olufemi Abaniwonda, has confirmed that a man simply identified as Paul stabbed his younger brother to death in Ugbokodo, Okpe Community, in Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State.<\/p>\n<p>Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the report in a text sent to our correspondent in Warri.<\/p>\n<p>His message read, \u201cConfirmed,\u201d noting that the suspect has been arrested.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect and his son, on Thursday evening, allegedly stabbed his younger brother, Saturday, to death over a dispute involving two thousand naira at the Ugbokodo waterside,.<\/p>\n<p>It was learnt that two thousand naira belonging to the suspect\u2019s wife went missing, and she accused the deceased, who denied stealing the money earlier in the day.<\/p>\n<p>She insisted that he was responsible and seized his shirt during a heated argument.<\/p>\n<p>In the process, the deceased reportedly slapped his elder brother\u2019s wife before neighbours intervened and separated them.<\/p>\n<p>The woman then called her husband, popularly known as Papa Jeffery, who rushed to the scene in anger.
