Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Peoples Redemption Party, PRP, has strongly kicked against the endorsement of President Bola Tinubu in his 2027 presidential bid.<\/p>\n

This was contained in a statement by the National Chairman of the party, Mallam Falalu Bello, on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The Progressive Governors Forum and the National Assembly last Thursday at the APC National Summit endorsed Tinubu for a second term.<\/p>\n

Bello, while reacting to the endorsement, maintained that the move was driven by desperation rather than genuine democratic will.<\/p>\n

He equally stated that the move exposed the attempt of the APC to cling to power through orchestrated means rather than the genuine voice of the Nigerian people.<\/p>\n

The PRP National Chairman, reiterated that power is not held by tactics alone but sustained by the people\u2019s trust and belief, stressing that even the most formidable political machinery crumbles when the people\u2019s confidence is lost.<\/p>\n

According to him, Tinubu\u2019s political machinery and endorsements may seem formidable, but they cannot silent the cries of the masses suffering under hardships.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe people\u2019s disillusionment is palpable and when citizens whisper. This is not what we voted for, it signals a fundamental disconnect between leadership and the governed.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe APC\u2019s current move to endorse Tinubu\u2019s candidacy appears to be a classic case of a desperate power grab\u2014an attempt to cement dominance through endorsements and political theatre rather than delivery of genuine democratic dividends,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

He urged the APC and Tinubu to understand that democracy is not just about endorsements but delivering tangible services to the people.<\/p>\n

According to him, any attempt to belittle the fundamental principle of democracy through desperation is doomed to fail.<\/p>\n
