Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>At least two vigilante members were killed and several others sustained injuries after bandits stormed Birchi community in Kurfi Local Government Area of Katsina State on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

The attack, which was met with fierce resistance from local vigilantes and residents, ended with the armed assailants fleeing the area without making any abductions.<\/p>\n

Security analyst Bakatsine disclosed the incident in a post on his official X handle on Sunday.<\/p>\n

\u201cLast night, bandits stormed Birchi community in Kurfi LGA of Katsina State. In a fierce resistance, two vigilante members were killed and several people sustained injuries.<\/p>\n

\u201cDespite the violence, the attackers were forced to flee without making any abductions,\u201d Bakatsine wrote.<\/p>\n

As of the time of filing this report, authorities in Katsina State are yet to officially comment on the attack.<\/p>\n
