Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Office of the Deputy Governor of Kano State, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, has refuted a viral social media post claiming that the Deputy Governor is offering financial grants to the public.<\/p>\n

This was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu.<\/p>\n

According to the statement, the office described the information as a fraudulent scheme orchestrated by unknown individuals to deceive unsuspecting members of the public.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe message circulating on social media claiming that His Excellency, the Deputy Governor of Kano State, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, is offering financial grants is completely false,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n

Shuaibu clarified that neither the Deputy Governor, any of his aides, nor his family members have any involvement or knowledge of such a scheme.<\/p>\n

He urged members of the public to disregard the message and report anyone promoting it to law enforcement authorities.<\/p>\n

The statement also emphasized the legal implications of circulating such false content, noting that it amounts to cybercrime.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis act constitutes cybercrime, and anyone found to be involved will face the full weight of the law,\u201d Shuaibu warned.<\/p>\n

The Deputy Governor\u2019s office advised citizens to remain vigilant and rely solely on official communication channels for verified information.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe call on the public to be cautious and avoid falling victim to such criminal tricks. Official information from the Deputy Governor\u2019s office will always be communicated through verified platforms,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n
