Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Governor Dikko Umar Radda of Katsina State has warned that the fight against bandits will forever be futile unless the communities are able to identify and flush out internal collaborators helping the criminal groups.<\/p>\n

The governor made this statement during a special prayer organized by Islamic scholars in Katsina to mark his second year in office.<\/p>\n

Radha disclosed that about 70% of bandits\u2019 information providers and logistic enablers live in towns and villages.<\/p>\n

He added that these set of internal collaborators contribute to insecurity by providing food, drugs, and fuel for the criminals to carry on with their criminal activities in the forest.<\/p>\n

He said that some even help the criminals in selling rustled animals and carry supplies from villages to the bush.<\/p>\n

The Governor stressed that security is a responsibility for everybody and he charged the citizens, the clerics and political office holders to lend more support to the government in this fight.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo government can win this battle alone,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He also appealed for a continued prayer for peace in Katsina and the whole of Nigeria.<\/p>\n

Radda assured his audience that he would lead with integrity, never betraying the trust his people have placed in him.<\/p>\n

Governor Radda spoke on the general impact of poor parenting on the society, noting that children without parental guidance or setting are a vulnerable lot to criminal tendencies.<\/p>\n

He called on parents to inculcate good morals unto their wards.<\/p>\n
