Yunusa Z. Ya\u2019u, said the inability of institutions to base their plans and decisions on credible data remains one of the biggest obstacles to achieving meaningful development.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe absence of reliable data leads to ineffective policies and programs,\u201d Ya\u2019u said in a statement delivered on his behalf by Mr. Hamza Ibrahim, CITAD\u2019s Senior Programme Officer in the Research and Communications Unit.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that without accurate data, government institutions are often left to formulate policies based on assumptions, resulting in outcomes that fail to address the real needs of citizens.<\/p>\n<p>Ya\u2019u emphasized that data is no longer just an academic tool but a fundamental pillar for evidence-based policymaking.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cData is increasingly important, not only for academic work but also for public policy,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>CITAD called on relevant authorities to invest in data systems and research.<\/p>\n<p>They stressed that improving the country\u2019s data infrastructure is essential for development planning, effective service delivery, and accountability in governance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Nigeria<\/span> Follow <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Africa-Press<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria.
