Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has disclosed why he made Nyesom Wike his Chief of Staff during his time as Governor of Rivers State.<\/p>\n

Amaechi said he made Wike his Chief of Staff to be able to supervise him.<\/p>\n

Featuring on Arise Television\u2019s Prime Time on Tuesday evening, the former Rivers State governor said Wike wanted to be commissioner for finance but he refused.<\/p>\n

According to Amaechi: \u201cI wanted him (Wike) as chief of staff so I could supervise him.<\/p>\n

\u201cAdoke flew all the way from Abuja to Port Harcourt that Wike asked me to make him the Commissioner for Finance and I said no, he has to work under me so that I can supervise him.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m saying this because I don\u2019t want to join issues with children.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know, he made himself chief of staff. He made himself governor. He made himself a minister. He made himself local government chairman.\u201d<\/p>\n
