Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kwara State Command, has deployed 2,900 personnel for the Eidel-Kabir festival across the state.<\/p>\n

Commandant Umar Mohammed disclosed this in a statement released in Ilorin on Wednesday by spokesman of the command, Ayoola Micheal Shola.<\/p>\n

The commandant ordered the deployment of 2,900 officers and men, strategically positioned across all the 16 LGAs, to ensure full coverage of critical infrastructure, prayer grounds, recreational centres, and other high-traffic locations.<\/p>\n

Parts of the statement read, \u201cAll Area Commanders, Divisional Officers and Tactical Units have been directed to remain on high alert and sustain proactive engagements with communities.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur presence will be visible, coordinated, and reassuring. We have assessed the risk areas, identified critical points, and implemented a multi-layered approach to ensure a safe and peaceful celebration,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

He further warned individuals and groups intending to exploit the festive atmosphere to foment trouble, vandalize critical infrastructure, or engage in any unlawful activity, stressing that such actions will be met with swift and decisive consequences in line with the law.<\/p>\n

Umar extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir and encouraged the public to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies by promptly reporting any suspicious movement or activities.<\/p>\n
