{"id":166291,"date":"2025-06-09T12:32:31","date_gmt":"2025-06-09T11:32:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/taraba-govt-apologizes-for-salary-delays"},"modified":"2025-06-09T13:39:24","modified_gmt":"2025-06-09T12:39:24","slug":"taraba-govt-apologizes-for-salary-delays","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/policy\/taraba-govt-apologizes-for-salary-delays","title":{"rendered":"Taraba Govt apologizes for salary delays"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Taraba State Government has issued a formal apology to civil servants affected by the delay in payment of May 2025 salaries.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement signed by the Head of Civil Service on Monday, the government assured that swift measures are being put in place to resolve the issue.<\/p>\n<p>It would be recalled that several civil servants observed the just-concluded Sallah celebration without their remuneration for the month of May.<\/p>\n<p>Acknowledging the inconvenience caused by the delay, the government, through the Head of Civil Service, applauded the civil servants for their patience and understanding.<\/p>\n<p>The statement was observed to have directed all civil servants who were not paid, underpaid, or wrongly placed in the May payroll to report to their respective Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) without delay.<\/p>\n<p>Permanent Secretaries, Secretaries, and Staff Officers have as well been instructed to compile and submit a comprehensive list of all affected personnel by Thursday, June 12, to the designated Committee Chairman for immediate verification and clearance.<\/p>\n<p>Emphasizing the government\u2019s commitment to resolving the matter promptly, \u201call those cleared shall be paid immediately,\u201d Dr. Kara assured.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo ease the burden on civil servants, particularly those outside the state capital, the committee will work in collaboration with the Office of the Head of Service and organized labour to establish accessible verification modalities,\u201d the Head of Service stated.<\/p>\n<p>Announcing that the move is geared towards eliminating the need for long-distance travel and expediting the payment process, the state government, through Dr. Kara, reiterated its commitment to worker welfare and appealed for continued cooperation as the process unfolds.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Nigeria<\/span> Follow <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Africa-Press<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria.
