The disaster threw the whole country into mourning.We have different tribes represented there.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have the Igbos, the Yorubas, the Hausas and many other tribes affected. In fact, those that were mostly affected were the non-indigenes. That is why we call it a national disaster because, it did not only affected the indigenes of Niger State,\u201d he insisted.<\/p>\n<p>The governor also expressed worries over recent killings in Benue State, citing reports of over 200 fatalities adding.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat is happening there is very sad,\u201d Bago observed.<\/p>\n<p>He appreciated Veritas University for their prompt response and donation of relief materials, including mattresses, mosquito nets, water guards, and torchlights to support the flood victims.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe appreciate you for this gesture. Nothing is too small. Out of all faith based groups in the country, you are the first to show Niger State and victims this gesture. The items will be given to the victims. We also urge you to continue to pray for God\u2019s intervention for this country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Rev.
