Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, has announced the restoration of normal bulk electricity supply to the six states in North-east Nigeria.<\/p>\n

TCN spokesperson, Ndidi Mbah disclosed this in a statement on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The power restoration comes after completing the connection of the new Bauchi 330\/132 kV Transmission Substation to the national grid through the 330 kV and 132 kV Jos-Bauchi-Gombe Transmission Line.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe lines were initially switched off to enable TCN energise the new Bauchi Substation, one of the biggest substations in the region to the grid.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe transmission lines have now been reconnected back to the grid. Consequently, supply to the north-east has been restored since the 19th of June at about 16:45 hours.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith the project completed, bulk power transmission has been restored to Jos and Yola Electricity Distribution Companies, which supply electricity to customers in Bauchi, Gombe, Yobe, Damaturu, Adamawa, and Taraba States.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis connection of the new substation to the national grid has enhanced power reliability, diversified transmission routes, and improved emergency response capabilities in the Northeastern region.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe appreciate the patience and support of affected customers during the outage period,\u201d TCN stated.<\/p>\n

DAILY POST reports that the region had been thrown into darkness since June 10, 2025.<\/p>\n
