I also feel more hopeful about the country. And of course, I\u2019m happy that we\u2019re here.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been a very difficult journey. And thanks to all our stakeholders&#8230; now that we\u2019re here, I think the foundation has been laid,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He, however, warned that the reforms were still in their early stages.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re not under any illusion that the house is ready. If you\u2019re homeless and you manage to put up a foundation, you are still homeless.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut you\u2019ve made very important progress. And therefore, just building on that, here\u2019s the next phase, and we\u2019re excited to embark on this journey together,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The brief ceremony, held at the Presidential Villa, was witnessed by top government officials, including governors, ministers, National Assembly leaders, and presidential aides.<\/p>\n<p>The signed legislation included the Nigeria Tax Bill, the Nigeria Tax Administration Bill, the Nigeria Revenue Service (Establishment) Bill, and the Joint Revenue Board (Establishment) Bill.<\/p>\n<p>According to the presidency, the bills are designed to overhaul Nigeria\u2019s tax system, improve revenue collection, enhance the ease of doing business, and attract more local and international investment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\">Nigeria<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria.
