{"id":167749,"date":"2025-06-30T18:51:22","date_gmt":"2025-06-30T17:51:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/fcmb-opens-new-branch-at-sangotedo-in-lagos"},"modified":"2025-06-30T20:03:27","modified_gmt":"2025-06-30T19:03:27","slug":"fcmb-opens-new-branch-at-sangotedo-in-lagos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/policy\/fcmb-opens-new-branch-at-sangotedo-in-lagos","title":{"rendered":"FCMB opens new branch at Sangotedo in Lagos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>First City Monument Bank (FCMB) officially commissioned a new branch in Sangotedo, Lagos, on June 26, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Local leaders expressed strong support and high hopes for the new branch\u2019s impact on the community\u2019s economic growth.<\/p>\n<p>Oba Abiodun Ogunbo, the Ogudu Oshadi I of Ogombo Kingdom, represented by Chief Lukman Lawal, the Aro of Ogombo Kingdom, warmly welcomed FCMB.<\/p>\n<p>He stressed the critical need for banking services for residents and businesses, commending the Bank\u2019s track record of supporting individuals and enterprises.<\/p>\n<p>He was optimistic that the new branch would create new opportunities and boost economic activity.<\/p>\n<p>The Olu of Sangotedo Kingdom, Oba Mohammed Olufunmi, represented by Otunba Tunde Johnson, also expressed appreciation for the new branch.<\/p>\n<p>He encouraged FCMB to deepen its presence in the community, citing the rapid development in the area as a compelling reason for the Bank to expand its presence further.<\/p>\n<p>The Chairman of Eti-Osa East Local Council Development Area, Honourable John Ogundare, stressed the importance of FCMB\u2019s new branch, stating, \u201ctoday marks a significant milestone for Sangotedo and the entire Eti-Osa.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He described the branch\u2019s opening as a \u201ctestament to the growth and potential of our community,\u201d expressing an eagerness for it to become a \u201cpillar of support by impacting our economy and the daily lives of our people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ogundare urged the Bank to actively support small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs), recognising them as economic development catalysts crucial to local prosperity.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Yemisi Edun, Managing Director\/CEO of First City Monument Bank, represented by Mr. Emmanuel Comla, the Bank\u2019s National Head of Sales, reaffirmed FCMB\u2019s commitment to inclusive and sustainable banking.<\/p>\n<p>She stated that the Bank is there to grow with the community, promising flexible financing for businesses and committing to bringing more people into the formal economy.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Comla also highlighted Sangotedo\u2019s strategic location, noting its proximity to major infrastructure, including the Lekki\u2013Epe corridor, Dangote Refinery, and Deep-Sea Port.<\/p>\n<p>He affirmed FCMB\u2019s commitment to the community\u2019s inclusive growth and sustainable development by connecting people, capital and markets.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Ademola Idowu, Group Head of Operations and International Trade Services at FCMB highlighted the Bank\u2019s commitment to delivering excellent and sustainable services.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that the new branch operates on renewable energy and is fully integrated into FCMB\u2019s digital ecosystem.
