{"id":168010,"date":"2025-07-02T08:52:42","date_gmt":"2025-07-02T07:52:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/deji-celebrates-pdps-demise-with-coalition-leaders"},"modified":"2025-07-02T09:59:23","modified_gmt":"2025-07-02T08:59:23","slug":"deji-celebrates-pdps-demise-with-coalition-leaders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/parties\/deji-celebrates-pdps-demise-with-coalition-leaders","title":{"rendered":"Deji Celebrates PDP&#8217;s Demise With Coalition Leaders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Activist lawyer, Deji Adeyanju has lauded key leaders in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and other opposition figures for coming together to battle the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in the next election.<\/p>\n<p>The lawyer specifically thanked the concerned leaders of the main opposition party, PDP for dumping the party for the African Democratic Congress, ADC.<\/p>\n<p>Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, former Senate President, David Mark, a former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido and other concerned leaders of the PDP dumped the party on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>The PDP stalwarts, who adopted ADC as a platform to wrestle power from President Bola Tinubu in 2027, also called on other members of PDP to join the movement.<\/p>\n<p>Reacting, Deji in a post on his Facebook page said he is happy that \u201cPDP is finally dead\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m proud of the opposition for coming together finally. Special thanks to Atiku, Obi and other top opposition leaders for putting aside their personal ambition to make this happen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI hope Kwankwaso will also do same.
