{"id":169005,"date":"2025-07-10T22:19:13","date_gmt":"2025-07-10T21:19:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/omokri-alleges-kanu-murdered-soldiers-and-policemen"},"modified":"2025-07-10T23:46:07","modified_gmt":"2025-07-10T22:46:07","slug":"omokri-alleges-kanu-murdered-soldiers-and-policemen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/policy\/omokri-alleges-kanu-murdered-soldiers-and-policemen","title":{"rendered":"Omokri Alleges Kanu Murdered Soldiers and Policemen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Reno Omokri, social media commentator and former presidential aide has, alleged that Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB ordered the killing of over 50 soldiers, 24 policemen and many civilians in the Southeast.<\/p>\n<p>Omokri spoke on Wednesday during an interview on Channels TV when he was reacting to a comment by Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra State, who stated that the ongoing trial of Nnamdi Kanu doesn\u2019t make sense.<\/p>\n<p>Omokri claimed that he has video evidence of the IPOB leader directing his supporters to carry out the heinous crime.<\/p>\n<p>He also alleged that in the video, Kanu ordered that Lagos State should be burnt down.<\/p>\n<p>Countering Peter Obi\u2019s assertion, Omokri justified the trial of Kanu, questioning why the former presidential candidate allegedly failed to condemn the activities of IPOB and unknown gunmen in the Southeast.<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cPeter Obi said the trial of Nnamdi Kanu does not make sense.
