Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Vice President, Kashim Shettima has arrived the United Kingdom from where he is expected to convey the remains of former President Muhammadu Buhari back to Nigeria for burial.<\/p>\n

Shettima\u2019s media aide, Stanley Nkwocha made the disclosure early Monday morning, noting that the VP was received at the hospital by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuff Tuggar.<\/p>\n

Presidential sources indicated that the VP left Nigeria around 12 midnight on Sunday to the UK.<\/p>\n

His arrival was witnessed by the Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum and Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila on Monday morning.<\/p>\n

Buhari passed on on Sunday after being hospitalised in Uk for a prolonged illness.<\/p>\n

Prior to his final moments, Buhari battled undisclosed ailments for years while serving Nigeria as President for two terms.<\/p>\n

His corpse is expected to arrive Nigeria today, for the final burial rites according to islamic rites.<\/p>\n
