Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Southern Kaduna Christian Leaders Association, SKCLA, has extended its condolences to the family of the late President Muhammadu Buhari and to the Federal Republic of Nigeria on his demise.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s chairman, Apostle Dr Emmanuel Nuhu Kure, in a statement prayed, \u201cMay God heal this nation from the traumas of the past and raise leaders who will truly serve all Nigerians with justice, equity, and truth, not favouring one part of the country over another.\u201d<\/p>\n

It added, \u201cAs a body that speaks onbehalf of a deeply wounded people, we must express the truth without pretense or political correctness. President Buhari\u2019s second term in office stands out in our memory as one of the darkest and toughest eras for the Southern Kaduna people.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnder his watch, our communities were subjected to unchecked violence, persecution, and marginalization, while the federal government remained either indifferent or complicit through silence.\u201d<\/p>\n

The statement said it \u201cremembers with nostalgia his first coming as Nigeria\u2019s military Head of State in 1984\u20131985\u201d, saying that during that brief period, there was a determined effort to sanitise the Nigerian system, instill national discipline, confront corruption and restore national pride.<\/p>\n

The statement explained that the nostalgia of 1984\/85 still lives with many of them in spite of the flaws it came with, pointing out that Buhari made them feel that Nigerians can adapt to discipline with the right leadership in place.<\/p>\n

It prayed that God will heal the nation from the traumas of the past and raise leaders who will truly serve all Nigerians with justice, equity, and truth, not favouring one part of the country over another.<\/p>\n
