Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Nigeria Police Force says it has arrested two suspects in connection with the murder of a 33-year-old Chinese national, Mr. Chen Wang, an employee of WH Great Resource Ltd., Ogere, Ogun State.<\/p>\n

The expatriate was stabbed to death on Sunday, January 12, 2025, in his office.<\/p>\n

DAILY POST reported that the suspects \u2013 two lovers \u2013 allegedly disabled the company\u2019s security system and unlawfully accessed Wang\u2019s office before attacking the Chinese.<\/p>\n

They subsequently stole the keys to his residence, which they later burgled before fleeing the state with stolen cash.<\/p>\n

Spokesperson of the Ogun State Police Command, Omolola Odutola, had earlier disclosed that investigations were ongoing and a manhunt had been launched to apprehend the culprits.<\/p>\n

Giving an update on the incident, the Nigeria Police Force on Tuesday, in a statement signed by the Assistant Commissioner of Police and Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said that two suspects identified as<\/p>\n

as Yunusa Abdullahi aged 25, and Peace Danlami, 20, were arrested in Jos, Plateau State.<\/p>\n

Adejobi stated that the suspects were arrested where they had been hiding under false identities.<\/p>\n

According to him, the arrest followed a meticulously coordinated, intelligence-driven operation and a swift deployment of digital forensics, biometric analysis and human intelligence.<\/p>\n

The statement said, \u201cIn line with the strategic policing mandate of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, the Nigeria Police Force Technical Intelligence Unit (TIU) was promptly mobilized to provide high-level operational and technological support to the Ogun State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Eleweran.<\/p>\n

\u201cFollowing weeks of technical surveillance and tactical coordination, operatives of the Force Headquarters, working closely with SCID detectives, tracked and apprehended the suspects identified as Yunusa Abdullahi (male, 25, Borno State) and Peace Keno Danlami (female, 20, Taraba State) on July 14, 2025, in Jos, Plateau State, where they had been hiding under false identities.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe swift deployment of digital forensics, biometric analysis, and human intelligence by the Nigeria Police played a decisive role in bringing the perpetrators to justice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adejobi stated that the suspects are currently in custody and will be arraigned in court upon the conclusion of ongoing investigations.<\/p>\n

The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, while commending the Ogun State Command, the Force Technical Intelligence Unit and all officers involved in the operation for their diligence, professionalism and relentless pursuit of justice, reaffirmed the Force\u2019s commitment to protecting all residents, citizens and foreign nationals alike, through proactive policing and precision-led investigations.<\/p>\n
