{"id":170459,"date":"2025-07-20T20:28:47","date_gmt":"2025-07-20T19:28:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/hard-drugs-led-to-baby-mamas-death-confession"},"modified":"2025-07-20T22:43:20","modified_gmt":"2025-07-20T21:43:20","slug":"hard-drugs-led-to-baby-mamas-death-confession","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/all-news\/hard-drugs-led-to-baby-mamas-death-confession","title":{"rendered":"Hard Drugs Led to Baby Mama&#8217;s Death Confession"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>A twenty seven year old suspected internet fraudster, Obakpororo Kelvin, has confessed that hard drugs made him kill his child\u2019s mother identified as Excellence with a hammer in Sapele, Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect who was paraded by the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe in a video on social media said he took two tablets of \u201ctramadol\u201d(100miligramme each) and smoked a substance called \u201cloud\u201d before he killed the lady on the 26th and 27th June 2025 in Sapele, Delta State.<\/p>\n<p>He said, it\u2019s the drugs that pushed him into killing the woman who had two sons for him over an argument on that fateful day.<\/p>\n<p>While noting that it has not been too long since he started consuming and abusing drugs as well as smoking, Kelvin, who spoke in pidgin English, said his eyes became clear after he carried out the act. According to him,\u201dMy eye done clear. I done learn from my mistake.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kelvin who who advised other youths to say No drugs said,\u201dMake them nor do am.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said he does internet fraud and farming side by side as a means of survival.<\/p>\n<p>According to him,\u201dI dey do street. I still dey do farm. I dey press. I dey do yahoo. I still dey farm work join.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When asked what transpired between him and his deceased baby mama, Kelvin said, she\u2019s into hook up(prostitution). He explained that on that fateful day,\u201dWhen she come my place, she carry Vegas with clothes wey she go take change. We get argument. She carry knife and I carry hammer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kelvin pointed out that he overpowered his baby Mama and collected the knife and hit her on the forehead three times and she fell down and died instantly.<\/p>\n<p>He expressed regrets that he didn\u2019t know his baby mama would die. \u201cAfter she die, I come say make I die follow her. I come jump down from upstairs and nothing do me.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI come dey ask her say babe, I nor know say you go die before o.
