That\u2019s the point I\u2019m making,\u201d Owens said. \u201cSo give us a sample. I\u2019ll send my doctors to take your blood. We\u2019ll get to the bottom of it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit, filed on Wednesday in Delaware Superior Court, accuses Owens of launching a campaign of global humiliation and relentless bullying based on a conspiracy theory that Brigitte Macron, 72, was born as Jean-Michel Trogneux.<\/p>\n<p>The Macrons described the campaign as \u201cinvasive, dehumanising, and deeply unjust,\u201d stating that they are constantly confronted by the claims in public.<\/p>\n<p>The 22-count civil complaint seeks unspecified compensatory and punitive damages. It marks a rare instance of a sitting world leader and their spouse bringing a defamation suit in a U.S. court.<\/p>\n<p>DAILY POST reports that under US law, public figures must prove \u201cactual malice\u201d that a defendant knowingly made false statements or acted with reckless disregard for the truth.<\/p>\n<p>Owens, who has a large online following and is known for her far-right political views and support for US President Donald Trump, dismissed the lawsuit as an attempt to silence her.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019d like to make it to discovery. I think we owe that to the world,\u201d she said. \u201cWe\u2019re revolting against the perverts that run the world&#8230; I think you\u2019re sick.
