Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Customs and Excise, Leke Abejide, has declared that President Bola Tinubu will win if former president Goodluck Jonathan contests in 2027.<\/p>\n

Abejide said Tinubu will win more than 32 states in Nigeria if Jonathan should accept to contest the 2027 election.<\/p>\n

The lawmaker representing the Yagba East\/Yagba West\/Mopamuro Federal Constituency, Kogi State, Leke Abejide, disclosed this during an interview on Mic On podcast with Seun Okinbaloye on Saturday.<\/p>\n

There have been permutations that Jonathan would contest for the presidency in 2027.<\/p>\n

Jonathan did one term as president before he was defeated by the late former President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015.<\/p>\n

But, cautioning against Jonathan\u2019s return, Abejide said Tinubu may only lose in Anambra and Ebonyi States.<\/p>\n

The African Democratic Congress, ADC, chieftain said: \u201cMy prayer is that they should run like that (different political platforms) and Asiwaju will win 32 states.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe may lose maybe Anambra, Abia, he will win Ebonyi; he may win more than 32 states.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Tinubu being popular, he said: \u201cI just came from Kano, I was in Kano on Wednesday and I slept there. I came to Kaduna by road yesterday morning.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo insecurity, the road is very good, then I came by train to Abuja this morning and I can tell you that people are happy.\u201d<\/p>\n
