{"id":173711,"date":"2025-08-12T12:13:55","date_gmt":"2025-08-12T11:13:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/ibom-air-and-valuejet-punish-kwam-1-like-comfort-emmanson"},"modified":"2025-08-12T13:16:25","modified_gmt":"2025-08-12T12:16:25","slug":"ibom-air-and-valuejet-punish-kwam-1-like-comfort-emmanson","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/policy\/ibom-air-and-valuejet-punish-kwam-1-like-comfort-emmanson","title":{"rendered":"Ibom Air and ValueJet: Punish KWAM 1 Like Comfort Emmanson"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Activist lawyer, Maduabuchi Idam, on Tuesday said Fuji singer, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, aka KWAM 1, should be punished over the incident with ValueJet like Ms Comfort Emmanson.<\/p>\n<p>Idam said the law should not be seen to favour the poor over the rich.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, KWAM 1 had attempted to prevent a ValueJet aircraft from taxiing at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in Abuja after he was prevented from boarding.<\/p>\n<p>The incident between KWAM 1 and officials of the airline led to him bagging a six months flight ban.<\/p>\n<p>A few days ago, an Ibom Air passenger, Emmanson was recorded to have assaulted an air hostess.<\/p>\n<p>The incident led to Emmanson being arraigned and remanded in Kirikiri prison in Lagos while she was placed on the no-fly list for life.<\/p>\n<p>However, Idam said KWAM 1\u2019s action was punishable with a life imprisonment or fine of N25 million.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement he signed, Idam said: \u201cK1 De Ultimate a known ally to the President seized control of an Aircraft in the Abuja Airport- A serious offences punishable with life imprisonment or an option of fine of N 25,000,000.00.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYet, he was escorted home on a red carpet.
