{"id":174637,"date":"2025-08-16T11:53:35","date_gmt":"2025-08-16T10:53:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/kaduna-lg-polls-no-coalition-with-el-rufais-sdp-adc"},"modified":"2025-08-16T13:15:50","modified_gmt":"2025-08-16T12:15:50","slug":"kaduna-lg-polls-no-coalition-with-el-rufais-sdp-adc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/parties\/kaduna-lg-polls-no-coalition-with-el-rufais-sdp-adc","title":{"rendered":"Kaduna LG polls: No coalition with El-Rufai\u2019s SDP \u2013 ADC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>As Kaduna State heads to the polls for its local government bye-elections, the state chapter of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, has denied any form of coalition with a former governor of the state, Nasir El-Rufai.<\/p>\n<p>ADC also dismissed any form of coalition with the Social Democratic Party, SDP, in the state.<\/p>\n<p>There will be bye-elections in Kajuru\/Chikun Federal Constituency, Zaria, and Sabon Gari Constituency.<\/p>\n<p>A few days ago, El-Rufai, a key member of the opposition coalition that adopted the ADC at the national level, had entered Kaduna to a rousing welcome by members of the SDP.<\/p>\n<p>However, the State Chairman, Ahmad Tijjani Mustapha, said ADC\u2019s link to El-Rufai was aimed at confusing the public.<\/p>\n<p>Mustapha stressed that El-Rufai is neither a member nor an official of the ADC.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe ADC in Kaduna State is not in any coalition or alliance with the SDP or any other political party in the state.
