Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Acting Governor of Katsina State, Malam Faruk Lawal-Jobe, has called on the Federal Government to urgently provide comprehensive security support to protect the people of the state from escalating attacks.<\/p>\n

Lawal-Jobe made the call on Tuesday in Katsina, following the tragic incident at Unguwan Muntau community where 13 worshippers were killed in a Mosque, in Malumfashi Local Government Area.<\/p>\n

The acting governor emphasised the critical need for immediate Presidential action to end the persistent threats facing innocent citizens.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe respectfully request Mr President to give matching orders to all security agencies to holistically and decisively bring an end to these unprovoked attacks on our peaceful communities.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe people of Katsina State deserve to live in safety and pursue their livelihoods without fear.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur farmers, traders, and families should not have to live in constant fear.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe need our President\u2019s direct intervention to mobilise all necessary resources and provide the security architecture our state requires,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The acting governor, however, expressed gratitude to security agencies currently operating in the state.<\/p>\n

He particularly commended the exemplary role of the Community Watch Corps and Vigilante Groups for standing firm in defending people against criminal elements.<\/p>\n

The state government assured the citizens of its continued commitment to working with the federal authorities and security agencies to restore lasting peace and stability across the state.<\/p>\n
