Nigeria forward, Alex Iwobi<\/a> has been rated ahead of his Everton teammate, Gylfi Sigurdsson in the race for the number 10 role, according to British tabloid, Liverpool echo.<\/p>\n

Everton have not had the 2019\/2020 EPL season all rosy, currently lying in 16th with 10 points in the table.<\/p>\n

However, the Toffees\u2019 boss Marcos Silva has been experimenting with his starting line-up as he searches for a winning strategy.<\/p>\n

Silva has been undecided on the play-maker role, where he has always alternated between Iwobi and Sigurdsson.<\/p>\n

However, the British tabloid said that Iwobi is better than his Everton teammate in the position.<\/p>\n

\u201cSigurdsson produces match-winning moments \u2013 such as his stunning strike off the bench late on vs West Ham \u2013 his all-round tendency to drift through a game unnoticed often outweighs those fleeting contributions.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe does little to move the ball into dangerous areas on a regular basis and lacks the dynamism to threaten a defence through quick feet or dribbling ability.<\/p>\n

\u201cIwobi, on the other hand, seems to possess more of an imposing and dynamic spark from the middle. But from looking at his underlying numbers from that no.10 role, has he done enough to solidify himself as a starter for the foreseeable future?<\/p>\n

\u201cFor comparison, Iwobi, who has played 361 minutes so far as a no.10, has averaged 24.5 passes per 90 minutes. This would indicate that the Nigerian international tends to find more pockets of space to receive the ball from team-mates.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
