{"id":175788,"date":"2025-08-23T21:06:17","date_gmt":"2025-08-23T20:06:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/police-arrest-suspected-armed-robbers-fraudsters-in-delta"},"modified":"2025-08-23T22:23:03","modified_gmt":"2025-08-23T21:23:03","slug":"police-arrest-suspected-armed-robbers-fraudsters-in-delta","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/all-news\/police-arrest-suspected-armed-robbers-fraudsters-in-delta","title":{"rendered":"Police arrest suspected armed robbers, fraudsters in Delta"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Operatives the Delta State Police Command have arrested a syndicate of armed robbers and fraudsters who specialize in robbing and defrauding unsuspecting victims in Delta State.<\/p>\n<p>The suspects were arrested between 11th and 16th, August, 2025, DAILY POST reports.<\/p>\n<p>The suspects were identified as Ibrukoko, 32, Obruche, 31, Lucky Umukoro, 28, Emmanuel Burutu, 22, Musa Abdulahi, 27, Sokoh, 30, Preye Julius, 36y and Kadija Abass, 30.<\/p>\n<p>Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe confirmed the report in a statement sent to our correspondent in Warri.<\/p>\n<p>The statement read, \u201cActing on credible intelligence, operatives of the CP-Special Assignment Team between the 11th and 16th of August 2025, arrested a syndicate of robbers\/fraudsters who specialize in robbing and defrauding unsuspecting victims of their valuables such as phones, motorcycles, jewellery, and looting of their victims\u2019 bank accounts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe suspects act in the guise of looking for direction and then hypnotize their victims before extorting and defrauding them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe suspects are Ibrukoko `m\u2019 aged 32 years and a native of Ovu community Ethiope East LGA, Obruche actor \u201cm\u2019 aged 31 years and a native of Emede community in Isoko South LGA, Lucky Umukoro m\u2019 28yrs and a native of Eku community in Ethiope East LGA, Emmanuel Burutu is age 22 years, and a native of the Agbarho community Burutu LGA, Musa Abdulahi m\u2019 aged 27 years and a native of Kafancha of Jamma\u2019a LGA of Kaduna state, Sokoh `m aged 30 years of Ovwian community in Udu LGA, Preye Julius \u2018m\u2019 aged 36yrs and Kadija Abass aged 30yrs of Gidama Community Ilela LGA, Sokoto State aged 30 years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe suspects operate in Warri, Ughelli, and other parts of the state and Edo State.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cExhibits recovered from them include two Toyota Camrys with REG no.
