{"id":176517,"date":"2025-08-28T18:09:59","date_gmt":"2025-08-28T17:09:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/abia-apga-denies-collapsing-structure-into-adc"},"modified":"2025-08-28T19:18:03","modified_gmt":"2025-08-28T18:18:03","slug":"abia-apga-denies-collapsing-structure-into-adc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/policy\/abia-apga-denies-collapsing-structure-into-adc","title":{"rendered":"Abia APGA denies collapsing structure into ADC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Abia State Chapter of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, has debunked reports alleging that its Abia South senatorial zone structures had collapsed into the African Democratic Congress, ADC.<\/p>\n<p>A press statement by the party\u2019s spokesperson, Chukwuemeka Nwokoro informed that the report lacks verifiable facts and described it as false and misleading.<\/p>\n<p>He hinted that the report is an attempt to distract the party in its preparedness to contest and take over the Abia Government House come 2027, maintaining that the party continues to enjoy relative peace and stability across the 17 LGAs of the state.<\/p>\n<p>Nwokoro, clarified that those allegedly mentioned in the reports are not members of the party, pointing out that the party, records from Ward 6 in Aba South showed they left the party in 2020 and have not been readmitted since then.<\/p>\n<p>The APGA spokesperson added that its leadership in the state remains resolute under Ambassador Sunday Onukwubiri as State Chairman, with no leadership crisis at the council or ward level.<\/p>\n<p>Nwokoro, while highlighting the party\u2019s political strength in the state, cited the election of Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, Abia South, and Alex Ikwechegh, Aba North\/South Federal Constituency, as evidence of its influence in the state.<\/p>\n<p>He further added that the APGA structure in Abia South, under the leadership of Chief Lucky Erondu, remains strong, with Local Government Chairmen working in harmony to advance the party\u2019s ideals.<\/p>\n<p>The party\u2019s spokesperson used the medium to call on the people of the state and the general public to disregard the claims of merging with any political party, assuring that APGA remains focused on consolidating its base and preparing for victory in 2027.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWithout any fear of contradiction, APGA wishes to state clearly that the party in Abia State remains intact, strong, and formidable.
