Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Former presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has said he and his followers are open to discussion regarding political alliance.<\/p>\n

Kwankwaso said he and his followers are willing to dialogue with anyone ready to engage them.<\/p>\n

The former Kano State governor made the remark while dismissing claims of ongoing talks with other political parties ahead of the 2027 presidential election.<\/p>\n

In an interview with BBC Hausa, Kwankwaso said there is no need for haste in political decisions.<\/p>\n

He noted that members of the NNPP are content where they are.<\/p>\n

According to Kwankwaso: \u201cOur members are not in a hurry; everything we do is carefully considered.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe NNPP is not in discussions with any political party at the moment for the purpose of forming an alliance, but that does not rule out future engagements.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are politicians, and we are always open to dialogue with anyone willing to engage with us\u201d.<\/p>\n

There are reports that President Bola Tinubu was wooing Kwankwaso to join the All Progressives Congress ahead of 2027.<\/p>\n

Recently, the former Kano State governor had visited the Presidential Villa but snubbed journalists after the meeting.<\/p>\n

Claims are rife that Tinubu plans to name Kwankwaso a Minister in return for joining the APC.<\/p>\n

There are also speculations of a possible alliance talk with the African Democratic Congress, ADC.<\/p>\n
