{"id":177011,"date":"2025-08-30T23:07:13","date_gmt":"2025-08-30T22:07:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/police-arrest-three-suspected-armed-robbers-cultists-in-abia"},"modified":"2025-08-31T00:16:16","modified_gmt":"2025-08-30T23:16:16","slug":"police-arrest-three-suspected-armed-robbers-cultists-in-abia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/all-news\/police-arrest-three-suspected-armed-robbers-cultists-in-abia","title":{"rendered":"Police Arrest Three Suspected Armed Robbers Cultists in Abia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Abia State Police Command says it has sustained it\u2019s crime fighting efforts by arresting some suspected armed robbers and cultists and also recovered some exhibits from them.<\/p>\n<p>The development was made known by DSP Maureen Chinaka, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO on behalf of the Commissioner of Police.<\/p>\n<p>She listed the names of the arrested suspects as Udaka Justin, a native of Akata village, Oru East LGA, Imo State,<\/p>\n<p>, Chukwuebuka Michael Nnebedun, a native of Arondizuagu, Ideato North LGA, Imo State and Prince David, also from Arodizuogu, Ideato North LGA, Imo State.<\/p>\n<p>She listed the recovered exhibits as one short locally made pistol, three live cartridges, one double-edged machete, one battle axe and One black face mask.<\/p>\n<p>Other recovered exhibits include one sachet of substances suspected to be Indian Hemp and one auto-rickshaw keke Napep, which were recovered during a search.<\/p>\n<p>The Abia Police Command said that on 23\/08\/2025 at about 9:30pm, operatives of the Quick Intervention Unit (QIU) of Abia State Police Command, while conducting stop-and-search operations at Umuagu by School Signboard, flagged down an autorickshaw (Keke Napep) with registration number MBL801VJ, blue in colour, carrying five occupants including the rider.<\/p>\n<p>The statement said that the rider pretended that the tricycle had developed a fault when stopped, giving room for two of the occupants to jump out and escape, but the above named three of the suspects were apprehended.<\/p>\n<p>Abia Police Command said the arrested suspects and recovered exhibits have been taken into custody, while investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Nigeria<\/span> Follow <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Africa-Press<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria.
