Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Stakeholders in Jigawa State have expressed deep concern over the poor condition of some abandoned Federal Government roads in the state threatening the lives and properties of citizens.<\/p>\n

They raised the concern during a sensitisation campaign on President Bola Tinubu administration\u2019s mid-term report organised by the Federal Ministry of Information, held at Federal secretariat, Dutse.<\/p>\n

Among the roads are Kwanar Dumawa to Babura Gaya-Jahun-Kafin Hausa, which have claimed several lives and properties of innocent citizens.<\/p>\n

They explained that the Federal Government has re-awarded the contract for the construction of the two federal roads in Jigawa state since 2020 but the projects were abandoned without completion.<\/p>\n

Responding, Head of Federal Information Centre, Dutse, Jigawa State Bashir D. Galadanchi said the aim of the sensitisation campaign is to highlight achievements recorded under President Tinubu and receive citizens\u2019 reaction.<\/p>\n

He said the event gave the citizens the opportunity to channel their demands to the Federal Government.<\/p>\n

According to him, \u201cOur door is always open for any group or individual who wants to forward citizens\u2019 demands to the Federal Government.\u201d<\/p>\n

He assured that all the demands will be compiled and channeled to the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation for appropriate action.<\/p>\n

Earlier, speaking, Mr. Mubarak Adamu Cisse, guest speaker at the event, in his paper titled \u201cThe Northwest Milestone\u201d, highlighted some of the achievements recorded under President Bola Tinubu\u2019s administration, especially in the region.<\/p>\n

According to him, \u201cwithin just two years of the present administration, the country has recorded tremendous success, including establishment of five regional Development Commissions.<\/p>\n
