{"id":178285,"date":"2025-09-10T12:05:52","date_gmt":"2025-09-10T11:05:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/ex-commissioner-critiques-senate-for-blocking-natasha"},"modified":"2025-09-10T13:06:05","modified_gmt":"2025-09-10T12:06:05","slug":"ex-commissioner-critiques-senate-for-blocking-natasha","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/policy\/ex-commissioner-critiques-senate-for-blocking-natasha","title":{"rendered":"Ex-Commissioner Critiques Senate for Blocking Natasha"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>A Former Kaduna State Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General, Mark Jacobs, has said that the suspended Kogi Central lawmaker, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan should be allowed to resume at the Senate after her suspension.<\/p>\n<p>The Senate on Tuesday acknowledged the lawmaker\u2019s notice, informing the upper chamber of her intention to resume after the expiration of her six-month suspension.<\/p>\n<p>The red chamber, however, stated that her matter could not be addressed until the court rules on the matter.<\/p>\n<p>Reacting during an interview on \u2018The Morning Brief\u2019, a programme on Channels Television on Wednesday, Jacobs argued that Natasha does not need the finalisation of a judicial process to resume sitting at the National Assembly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat I see is a further display of impunity gone wild.
