Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Abia State Governor, Alex Otti has called on Abia residents to take part in the ongoing continuous voters registration exercise.<\/p>\n

Otti made the call on Sunday during a Church service at Salvation Ministries, Aba.<\/p>\n

He reminded Abia people that refusing to vote or shying away from voting, indirectly means voting for the wrong person.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you fail to vote or shy away from voting in an election, you have voted for the wrong person\u201d, Governor Otti said.<\/p>\n

He thanked the members of Salvation Ministries and other residents of Abia for supporting his administration.<\/p>\n

Similarly, former Senate President, Adolphus Wabara has urged the people of the South East to ensure that they are registered in the ongoing continuous voters registration.<\/p>\n

Wabara, who is the Chairman of PDP Board of Trustees, BoT, advised South East political leaders and other community leaders to mount a serious sensitisation campaign to properly guide the people.<\/p>\n

He frowned at the low number of persons who have so far registered in the South East.<\/p>\n

The former Senate President also called for electoral reforms that could make electronic transmission of results compulsory before the 2027 polls, saying that it would boost the confidence of voters and strengthen Nigeria\u2019s electoral system.<\/p>\n
