1. Governor Umar Bago of Niger State has said it is mandatory for preachers to submit their sermons for approval. Speaking on TVC\u2019s Politics on Sunday, the governor said that for everyone going to sermon on Friday, he should bring his scriptures for review.<\/p>\n

2. The Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral (Rtd) Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, has said the state was torn by divisions, instability, and broken trust before the intervention of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who appointed him to preside over the state for six months. He spoke during the Inter-Denominational Church Thanksgiving Service at the Ecumenical Centre in Port Harcourt.<\/p>\n

3. The Federal Government has warned that 11 states may experience heavy rainfall that may lead to flooding between Sunday and Thursday. This was contained in a notice issued by the Federal Ministry of Environment\u2019s National Flood Early Warning Centre.<\/p>\n

The suspects, Ogunlana Olanrewaju, Olushola Kayode, and Bakare Muheeb, were linked to 2,248,000 pills of tramadol 200mg\/225mg imported from Delhi, India.<\/p>\n

The Federal High Court in Abuja will today (Monday) hear an application by the detained leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, seeking an order for his transfer from the custody of the Department of State Services to the National Hospital, Abuja, for urgent medical care.<\/p>\n

A yet-to-be-identified female police inspector attached to the Lagos State Command may face dismissal or demotion after being arrested for allegedly defrauding a complainant of N915,000 in a failed rice supply deal. It was gathered from a police source on Saturday that the officer was arrested after a complainant (name withheld) reported her at the command headquarters on Wednesday, September 11.<\/p>\n

9. The African Democratic Congress has refuted a report that the Independent National Electoral Commission has validated and released a list of the party\u2019s state chairmen across Nigeria\u2019s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. In a statement released on Sunday by the party\u2019s spokesperson, Bolaji Abdullahi, via his official X account, the ADC national leadership clarified that INEC has issued no such confirmation, either officially or unofficially.<\/p>\n

10. The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has forecast thunderstorms and rainfall across the country from Monday to Wednesday. NiMet\u2019s weather outlook, released on Sunday in Abuja, predicted isolated thunderstorms with moderate rains on Monday morning over Kaduna, Gombe, Bauchi, Kebbi, Adamawa, and Taraba states.<\/p>\n
