Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) says its air component of Operation HADIN KAI has killed dozens of terrorists and destroyed one of their key strongholds in Borno State.<\/p>\n

In a statement issued on Thursday by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, NAF\u2019s Director of Public Relations and Information, the operation took place on Wednesday morning, September 17, 2025, at Bula Madibale in the Gezuwa area of Borno.<\/p>\n

According to the statement, intelligence and surveillance had revealed unusual movements in the area, prompting a reconnaissance mission.<\/p>\n

\u201cAbout 45 terrorists were observed gathering at the location, with some arriving on motorcycles and bicycles from different directions,\u201d NAF said.<\/p>\n

According to the statement, two terrorist flags were reportedly hoisted at the site, marking it as a rallying point for insurgents.<\/p>\n

Acting on this intelligence, the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI launched precision strikes around 10:50 a.m., which NAF said had a devastating impact.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe strikes eliminated several terrorists at the gathering point, while the flagged structure and other assets used by the insurgents were destroyed,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n

The Air Force stressed that the operation was part of its wider efforts to deny terrorists freedom of movement or the ability to regroup for attacks on communities.<\/p>\n

It assured Nigerians of its continued commitment to restoring peace and stability in the North East.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis operation underscores our resolve to prevent terrorists from threatening innocent lives. The Armed Forces remain fully committed to restoring peace and stability, particularly in the North East,\u201d Ejodame said.<\/p>\n
