Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Youths in Ogun State have been encouraged to seize every opportunity to acquire skills, knowledge and experiences that will make them valuable contributors to society.<\/p>\n

The Director of Media and Publicity for the All Progressives Congress, APC, Youth League in Ogun State, Olamide David, gave the advice while speaking on a radio program monitored by our correspondent in Abeokuta.<\/p>\n

David, who spoke about the role of youths in shaping the future of the state, maintained that they must empower themselves for active participation in politics and governance.<\/p>\n

He argued that rather than waiting for the government, personal growth and self empowerment would help build a strong state, reduce unemployment, strengthen leadership capacity, and prepare the next generation for future responsibilities.<\/p>\n

David urged all youths to believe in themselves, get involved in community development and work collectively to make meaningful contributions to the growth of the state.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf we don\u2019t build capacity today, we cannot lead tomorrow. The future of Ogun State and Nigeria rests on how prepared the younger generations are,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n

In the same vein, David stated that the APC Youth League has actively engaged youths across the state, mobilizing them to play constructive roles in political and developmental process.<\/p>\n

He added that the organization has also promoted dialogue between the government and the people, while supporting initiatives that improve the welfare of citizens.<\/p>\n
