{"id":18027,"date":"2019-11-15T19:44:35","date_gmt":"2019-11-15T19:44:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.com\/nigeria\/?p=18027"},"modified":"2019-11-15T19:44:35","modified_gmt":"2019-11-15T19:44:35","slug":"yola-varsity-chaplain-prof-felix-ilesani-kidnapped","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/all-news\/yola-varsity-chaplain-prof-felix-ilesani-kidnapped","title":{"rendered":"Yola Varsity Chaplain, Prof. Felix Ilesani, kidnapped"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Gunmen have kidnapped Prof Felix Ilesani of Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH), Yola, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Adamawa_State\">Adamawa State<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Prof Ilesani was abducted Thursday night from his residence at the staff quarters of the university campus in Girei, headquarters of Girei Local Government Area of the state.<\/p>\n<p>The university don is the chaplain of Trinity Chapel, located on the main campus of the university.<\/p>\n<p>The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Suleiman Nguroje, said the Chief Security Officer of the university has reported the development to the police.<\/p>\n<p>He said police officers had been drafted to rescue the victim and arrest the abductors.<\/p>\n<p>The federal university is fast acquiring the infamy of being a fertile ground for kidnappers who always \u2018gun\u2019 for professors.<\/p>\n<p>Only last month, a professor of Soil Science in the university, Adamu Zata, was kidnapped.
