The development was disclosed in a post on Sunday by security analyst and crisis journalist, Bakatsine, via his X handle.<\/p>\n
According to the post, residents reported that the attackers operated freely for several hours, subjecting civilians to violence and intimidation amid a delayed security response.<\/p>\n
As of the time of filing this report, locals say the assailants are still believed to be in the area, raising fears of further attacks.<\/p>\n
Videos circulating on social media show that the bandits set fire to key public and religious facilities during the assault.<\/p>\n
