{"id":193122,"date":"2026-02-01T11:35:00","date_gmt":"2026-02-01T10:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/20-ships-discharge-petroleum-other-cargo-at-lagos-ports-npa"},"modified":"2026-02-01T11:35:00","modified_gmt":"2026-02-01T10:35:00","slug":"20-ships-discharge-petroleum-other-cargo-at-lagos-ports-npa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/economy\/20-ships-discharge-petroleum-other-cargo-at-lagos-ports-npa","title":{"rendered":"20 ships discharge petroleum, other cargo at Lagos ports \u2013 NPA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, has disclosed that no fewer than 20 vessels are currently offloading petroleum products and other consignments at the Apapa, Lekki and Tin Can Island ports in Lagos.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Authority, the vessels are discharging a wide range of cargo, including petrol, diesel, crude oil, buckwheat, base oil, bulk gas, containers, general merchandise, fresh fish, bulk gypsum and urea.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the NPA also confirmed that additional traffic is expected at the Lagos ports, with 39 more ships scheduled to arrive between Saturday and February 15.<\/p>\n<p>The incoming vessels, the Authority said, are expected to convey petroleum products, food items and other commodities such as aviation fuel, crude oil, condensate, bulk wheat, fertiliser, bulk oil, bulk gas, containers and general cargo.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the ports currently have 18 vessels already at anchorage awaiting berthing space.<\/p>\n<p>These ships are laden with cargoes that include crude oil, bulk urea, aviation fuel, containers, general goods, bulk gypsum and gas.<\/p>\n<p>The NPA noted that port operations remain steady as efforts continue to ensure the smooth handling of vessels and cargo across the Lagos port corridors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, has disclosed that no fewer than 20 vessels are currently offloading petroleum products and other consignments at the Apapa, Lekki and Tin Can Island ports in Lagos.
