Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has reiterated his commitment to governing with fairness, justice and inclusiveness, assuring residents that development will continue to reach every part of the state<\/p>\n

Abiodun gave the assurance on Tuesday during the state banquet held at the arcade ground, governor\u2019s office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, as part of activities marking the 50th anniversary of the state.<\/p>\n

According to Abiodun, Ogun has progressively developed into Nigeria\u2019s industrial capital since the state\u2019s founding on February 3, 1976, due to steady investments and calculated planning.<\/p>\n

He said his administration\u2019s emphasis on human capital development, education, housing, road infrastructure, healthcare, agriculture and sports has resulted in what he called \u201cunprecedented progress across sectors\u201d.<\/p>\n

The governor added, \u201cI am grateful for the opportunity to serve the good people of Ogun State. I assure you that every promise I made will be fulfilled, and I will continue to govern with fairness, equity and justice.\u201d<\/p>\n

He noted that since 2019, the administration\u2019s development program has been implemented equally throughout Ogun West, Ogun East, and Ogun Central, re-establishing the state\u2019s standing on a national and worldwide scale.<\/p>\n

The governor also emphasised Adire fabric\u2019s growing international recognition, characterising it as a representation of Ogun\u2019s cultural rebirth and expanding economic clout.<\/p>\n

He urged locals to continue their support and promised to build on the groundwork established by the state\u2019s founders in order to make Ogun a shining example of development in Nigeria.<\/p>\n

In her remarks, Deputy Governor Noimot Salako-Oyedele commended past administrations for laying strong foundations and thanked citizens for their continued trust in the present government.<\/p>\n

Similarly, Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Oludaisi Elemide, described Ogun\u2019s 50-year development journey as impressive, noting that the state has recorded remarkable transformation.<\/p>\n

The Chief Judge of Ogun State, Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu, in her remarks said the expansion of judicial divisions across the state has strengthened access to justice.<\/p>\n

In the same vein, the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, applauded the transformation of Abeokuta and improvements in security, urging the government to maintain the momentum.<\/p>\n

Several dignitaries at the event, including former Military Administrator Col. Daniel Akintonde, industrialist S.K. Onafowokan, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola and Isiaka Ibrahim, also commended the progress achieved over the past five decades.<\/p>\n
