{"id":193842,"date":"2026-02-07T10:20:04","date_gmt":"2026-02-07T09:20:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/nedc-expresses-sympathy-for-bauchi-road-accident"},"modified":"2026-02-07T11:25:51","modified_gmt":"2026-02-07T10:25:51","slug":"nedc-expresses-sympathy-for-bauchi-road-accident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/policy\/nedc-expresses-sympathy-for-bauchi-road-accident","title":{"rendered":"NEDC Expresses Sympathy for Bauchi Road Accident"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The North East Development Commission, NEDC, has expressed deep sympathy to the Nigeria Union of Journalists,NUJ, Bauchi State Chapter, and the Bauchi State Government over a tragic road accident that occurred on the Bauchi\u2013Alkaleri road on Friday, February 6, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The accident, as gathered , involved journalists who were accompanying an NEDC delegation during the commissioning and handover of completed projects across Bauchi State.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement signed by the commission\u2019s head of corporate services, Abba Musa, the governing board, management, and staff of the Commission described the incident as heartbreaking praying for the injured journalists, their families, and the entire journalism community.<\/p>\n<p>The Commission announced that its governing board has approved the provision of full support and care for the victims of the accident and their families.
